Commitment.

A true man doesn't promise. He commits.

COMMITS.

It just such a huge word. Many people always say they promise this and that. But what is the point when they can't commit. Promises will then just become words, like the wind, that flow pass and become the past.

Why are there so many cases of divorces going on? It's just because they are simply promises made to one and another. "Marriage vows are promises each partner in a couple makes to the other during a wedding ceremony." what is the point of making such promises when they are not committed to keep them. People divorce and separate just because they are not happy, not satisfied by material gains, or simply, or rather not that simply, do not love each other anymore. I honestly can't tell you what exactly love is. But I can tell you being committed to loving someone means you will find the courage to love that person once committed No matter what. And that means blocking out all the "evil" that may distract you. I guess you all know what that "evil" means. I think most of us are guilty of letting the "evil" in before even though we know we can be in control and say No to it. The "evil" I'm talking about maybe a third party, your bad temper, your bad habits/behavior like gambling, smoking, etc which may lead to a torn picture.

Question is: Are you ready and more importantly, Able to commit instead of just promising?

One may ask oneself this question one a many times during his/her lifetime. Do not fear to ask yourself this. Cause by doing so, at least you can assure yourself that you are on the right track to being committed by just being conscious. Some people just make promises after promises without thinking twice to being committed to them. Remember commitment requires lots of guts. Ignore those who laugh at your commitments cause they will never understand what is it like to be truly committed. At least you live more fulfilling, being able to fight for something important at least once in your life. I never said it was easy or painless. I agree commitment comes with a lot of pain, ESP in love when it is not reciprocated. Hold ur head high even if it does not work out. Commitment in love requires compliance from both parties. So if you failed, at least u know you have truly loved.

*note: commitment does not mean being too overbearing and over possessive. It means respecting your other halves. Treat them how you want them to treat you back in simple explanation

Heart felt words,
